Able Carpentry & Building is a residential building company specialising in high-end bespoke homes, major renovations, and complex additions.
Based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Able Build works across the Central Coast, Northern Beaches and North Shore, delivering considered, well-executed homes in collaboration with homeowners and architects.
Led by licensed builder Daryl Hodgins, Able Build brings decades of hands-on construction experience to each project. Our work is defined by clarity, consistency and a high standard of finish – regardless of scale or complexity.

How do I choose the right builder for a major residential project?

Do you work with architects, or can you be involved earlier in the process?
We regularly collaborate with architects and are often engaged during early planning stages.
Early involvement allows us to advise on buildability, cost and construction methodology before documentation is finalised.
We also simply meet with the owner if they have an idea or two! We’re happy to chat in person and help connect owners with architects or whoever else is needed to get the ball rolling…
What types of indoor spaces do you build or renovate?
We construct and renovate kitchens, bathrooms, living and dining areas, bedrooms, staircases, laundries and full interior reconfigurations, including structural alterations and complete internal rebuilds.
What outdoor spaces do you typically deliver?
Our work includes terraces, large structural decks, pool areas, outdoor kitchens, landscaping structures, walkways and integrated entertaining areas, designed to connect seamlessly with the home and surrounding environment.
Do you take on smaller projects or standalone structures?
Our focus is on full-scale homes, major renovations and substantial additions.
We generally do not undertake smaller standalone works such as minor decks, pergolas or handyman-style projects.
